What is your assessment data actually telling you?

I’m looking for 10 elementary and middle schools ready to get more from their assessment data. This two-session online workshop pairs applied analytics instruction with a personalized analysis of your school’s own data — delivered between sessions.

What To Expect

Pre-Work

Optional	Primer on diagnostic analytics and interpreting results
Optional	Submit anonymized student data for a live analysis. Requires mid-year and state scores from 2024–25, mid-year scores from 2025–26, grade, and subject. Schools that submit data will get significantly more from Session 2. The data are private — you own the results and share them only if you choose.
Required	Brief orientation survey

Session 1 · 2 Hours

Week of August 3

Coverage, rigor, and accuracy of an assessment system
Collecting and maintaining data to extract the highest-value information
Using analytics to distinguish signal from noise

Intersession — Your Data, Analyzed

For schools that submit data, Jeff will deliver a private analysis of your school’s assessment data — what it says about where your students are heading, and how clearly it says it. Some schools will get back a sharp, actionable signal. Others will find their data is murkier than expected. Either result tells you something important you probably didn’t know.

Session 2 · 2 Hours

Week of August 17

Interpreting and communicating results clearly
Using results to drive decisions about re-teaching and regrouping
Informing teacher coaching systems
Progress monitoring
